New Guitar Clinic + Guinness World Record attempt
Since 2002 the »Thanks Jimi Festival« takes place every year in the Polish city of Wroclaw. The festival is dedicated to the music of Jimi Hendrix, and in 2006 they set the record for the most guitar players playing a song in unision. This year for the 17th time, they try to break the festival's own standing Guinness World Record of 7,411 guitarists playing »Hey Joe« by Jimi Hendrix in the old market square. And guess what, I'll be part of it! Before joining the hopefully more than 7,411 guitarists on May 1st at exactly 4pm you can see me play a few Lordi songs on stage. After that we'll succeed in establishing a new Guinness World Record, I'm sure!
You can play guitar? Why don't you join us! Every type of guitar is welcome: acoustic, electric, bass as well. Banjo, ukulele, balalaika and mandolins, you name it. Need more info? The official website of the festival has you covered: heyjoe.pl
Here you can see snippets of the spectacle from last year:
If you wanna see me in a bit more intimate setting, you can do so a day earlier: on April 30th I'll be having another one of my Guitar Clinics at Klub Gwarek in Kraków, Poland. You can get all the infos and tickets on the club's website at klubgwarek.pl.
So be it, it shall be done,
Amen
